Shopify Integration

Shopify 3PL Integration. Your Store Connected to Our Warehouse in Minutes

When a customer checks out on your Shopify store, 6G Logistic can take it from there automatically. No one presses a button. No one exports a spreadsheet. Orders flow from your storefront directly into our warehouse management system the moment they’re placed.
This is what a real Shopify integration looks like. Not a workaround. Not a manual upload that someone remembers to do at the end of the day. A live, bidirectional API connection where your store and our warehouse stay perfectly in sync at all times.
How it Works

How the Shopify Integration Works

Step 1: We connect to your Shopify store via the Shopify API
We generate a private app connection or use Shopify's partner API, depending on your store's setup. This takes about 30 minutes on our end. You don't need to install any app from the Shopify App Store unless you prefer that method.
Step 2: Orders flow into our WMS automatically
The moment an order is placed on your store, it appears in our warehouse management system. Our team picks, packs, and ships without any manual step on your end.
Step 3: Tracking numbers sync back to Shopify automatically
When we ship an order, the tracking number is pushed back to Shopify immediately. Shopify then sends your customer the shipping notification email automatically. Your customer experience stays exactly the same.
Step 4: Inventory stays in sync in real time
As we pick items from your inventory, your Shopify stock levels decrement automatically. When returns are received and restocked, your inventory count updates. You always have an accurate count without touching a spreadsheet.
Step 5: You manage exceptions — we handle everything else
If an item is out of stock, backordered, or flagged, you see it in your Shopify dashboard. Everything else receiving, picking, packing, shipping, tracking happens automatically.

What Shopify Requires for WMS Integration

Shopify supports 3PL connections in two ways. We use whichever works best for your store:
SHOPIFY PARTNER API (recommended): We connect as a fulfillment service partner directly to your Shopify admin. This is invisible to your customers and requires no app install. You grant us fulfillment permission in your Shopify settings under Settings → Shipping and Delivery → Custom Fulfillment Service.
SHOPIFY FULFILLMENT API: For stores on Shopify Plus or with complex multi-location setups, we use Shopify’s official Fulfillment API. This requires an admin API key with fulfillment write permissions.
Shopify settings

What you'll need to do in Shopify settings

  • Settings → Shipping and Delivery → Custom Fulfillment Service → Add fulfillment service → Enter our name and callback URL (we provide this) → Enable “Tracking Support” and “Inventory Management”
We configure everything else on our end.

Our WMS flags the order as having a stockout and you are notified immediately in your Shopify dashboard. We can be configured to either hold the order or split-ship available items, depending on your preference.
Most Shopify integrations go live within one to two business days of our first call. The actual technical setup takes about 30 minutes the rest of the time is onboarding your product catalog and configuring your shipping rules.
